PASTOR GREG ENSTROM heads our ministry team. He is a teaching pastor, leading Disciple Bible Studies and engaging members in book studies. He both values and fosters informed open dialogue. He also has a good sense of humor and church members look forward to his newsletter lead articles. Pastor Greg holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Indiana University and a Masters of Divinity degree from Christian Theological Seminary. Pastor Greg has served churches in Elwood, Rensselaer, Greentown, and Michigan City, Indiana. He is married to Lynn Enstrom and they have three grown children, Peter, Grace, and Claire.
PASTOR JIM McKAY, Parish Visitor, calls on shut-ins and assists with hospital visitation. Pastor Jim retired from full-time ministry in 2010. Pastor Jim's ministry has been inter-generational: he has a great passion and commitment to youth as well as to older adult ministry. He is married to Margaret McKay, with whom he has two grown sons, and they both sing with First Wayne Street's Praise Team. Jim is also an avid model railroad enthusiast.
ANNA ZARTMAN, Director of Congregational Life and Nurture, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics from Ohio University with her area of specialization in child development and family living. Having served as a director of pre-school, teacher, and as a caseworker supervisor for the Indiana Department of Public Welfare, she brings considerable experience and a strong faith to her present position. Anna is married to Roger Zartman, and they have a daughter, Katie.
DR. GEOFFREY NORTH, Director of Music Ministries & Church Organist, holds a Doctorate in Music Composition from Northwestern University. Geoff hails from Nova Scotia and is married to wife Jessie, with whom he has two daughters, Katie & Annabel. He is also an Adjunct Faculty Member in IPFW's music department. Dr. North joined the First Wayne Street staff in July 2010.
PHYLLIS BOESTER is the Children's Choir and Children's Chime Director. Phyllis is a life-long resident of Fort Wayne, is a music education graduate of IPFW, and has completed Levels I and II of Kodaly and Orff Schulwerk training. Along with being Associate Music Director, she teaches music for Fort Wayne Community Schools and directs an intermediate level choir of the Fort Wayne Children's Choir. Phyllis is married and has two adult sons.
CONNIE BOREN is the church's Administrative Secretary and Office Manager. In addition to overseeing scheduling of a very active church calendar, coordinating the work of office volunteers, and editing and publishing weekly bulletins, announcements, mailings, and the church's newsletter, The Good News, Connie also keeps everybody focused and on task.
JESSIE NORTH serves as part-time Social Media Technician. She is married to music director Geoff North, with whom she has two daughters, Katie & Annabel. Jessie sings with both the Praise Team and the Sanctuary Choir. She is also a recovering attorney and a freelance writer and photographer.
GEORGE HARFORD is the church bookkeeper. He is also a veteran and animal lover.
CESAR ANZALDUA, Head Custodian, attends to the care and maintenance of church facilities and grounds. He possesses a contagious evangelical spirit and is an ambassador for Christ in all that he does.
JERRY HERTENSTEIN serves as Sunday morning custodian. Jerry is the liturgist coordinator, member of the music/worship ministry team, and is a journalist turned artist/actor.
ANN CARNES is a non-paid lay staff member who is certified in sacred music by The United Methodist Church. Ann specializes in liturgy, and serves on the worship and music ministry team.
